BCYCC 2005

Saturday and Sunday (February 26-27, 2005) twelve past and present players from our club participated in the provincial finals hosted by St John's private school in Vancouver.

Everyone had to play 5 tough games. However those in the running for the top 3 had to go to the extra mile in the play-offs to decide the colour of the medals. In the end our top results were as follows:

They will be present for sure in Victoria at the CYCC 2005 (Canadian Youth Chessⁱ* Championship), March 24-27, 2005. Also other high rated members of our club will join them. The prizes all of them will be after: top 3 in each age group, automatically qualifying those successful ones for the national team to represent Canada at the World Youth Chessⁱ* Championship from Belfort, France in July 2005.

Golden Knights level 5 tournament (B17) - fall 2009

Our fall tournament started way back in September 2009 in a round robin format. Finally it is almost over. It seems like 2 players (Peter and Rick) are not returning, so for now Peter has been taken out of the tournament. Rick's finished games will be considered, but the remaining ones will be cancelled.
