We are dealing with a typical Isolated Queen Pawn (IQP) position. The last move 19... Ne8 was not actually played during the game, but it was considered as a very educative sideline. Your tasks:
a) Analyse the position for both sides
b) Decide on the best plan of action for White and put together a possible line

Total available points for this puzzle is 20. The answers will be published next week together with puzzle #221.

Puzzle #219 solution:
Game Arthur Kogan - M Pena Gomez, Sanxenxo, Spain 2010. The best analysis was by Daniel:
a) Analysis:
Material: Material is even.
King Safety: White's King is safer because nothing is attacking it.
Center: White controls the center.
Position: White's Queen is attacking the g7-pawn while Black's Queen is attacking e5. White's Rooks are connected and they are both on open files. White's Bishops are on open diagonals while Black's are still trapped. White's Knight is controlling the center while Black's is attacking e5. White has an isolated pawn on e5 and 3 pawn islands while Black has 2 pawn islands.
White's Plan: To attack the f7- and g7-pawns.
