In this middlegame position between 2 strong players white has to decide what to do with the Queen. His strategy was to have the Queen lead the attack against the Black King, just to see it attacked by Rg8. It is white to move. Your tasks:
a) Analyse the position and decide what to do with the Queen
b) Add the best variation you can think of

Total available points for this puzzle is 20. The answers will be published next week together with puzzle #248.

Puzzle #246 solution:
a) No, it should not be a draw. Black has an advantage and it is black to move, so black should try to win the game.
b) Both black and white has equal pieces, but black is in better position than white. White's strong points are the bishop and queen control of the white squares, and white rooks and queen defend their back rank. White's weak points are the has a broken castle because it is missing a pawn on the g-file. Black strong points are that bishop controls the dark squares, both rooks defend the back rank and king is well ptotected behind three pawns (no broken castle). Black's bishop is attacking the h2-pawn where white castled. Black should take advantage of white's broken castle to attack.
